On 6 June 1930, Bradwell United Silver Prize Band’s President, Dr. Charles Miles, died and left the band a legacy of £100. After careful consideration, the Band decided to buy new uniforms which were dark brown in colour with green and gold trimmings. When received, the Band proudly paraded around the streets of New Bradwell to show off their new attire.
